There are many du’aas that we know or may have learned a long time ago that are a habit for us to say, so much so that they come out automatically. Recently, I came across the meaning of Du’aa Al-Qunoot – a du’aa that I’ve had memorized for years, and was overwhelmed by how how beautiful and encompassing it was! It was a great moment of reflection that reminded me to slow down sometimes and understand what I am saying when making du’aa to my Lord!
To help others appreciate, learn, and recite this beautiful du’aa and its meaning, we decided to make a printable.
And of course, this is a great du’aa to teach your child and/or students. The color coded printable can be used to start a discussion about the meaning of the du’aa and what we are asking Allah for. You can even encourage your child to start praying witr- a sunnah of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW)- to help build that habit from a young age.
It was narrated that Ali, may Allah (SWT) be pleased with him, said:”The Messenger of Allah (๏ทบ) said: “O people of the Qur’an, pray witr, for Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, is Witr (One) and loves Al-Witr (the odd numbered).'”
We recommend printing on cardstock and laminating for durability.
Bismiallah… Here is the printable: Du’aa Al-Qunoot for Witr Salah
May Allah reward you you with best reward
