Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahy Wabarakatu🤝
Today is Day #6 of Thul Hijjah!
A reminder that these days are extra special, and Good Deeds done during these days are most beloved to Allah (SWT)
💡 Good Deed Idea of the Day: 💡
Say a Good Word
All of us release words from our mouth constantly throughout the day- but have we ever reflected on the quality of the words that come out of our mouth? Are they purposeful? Loving? Beneficial? Kind? Condescending? Commanding? Rude? Empathetic?
What percentage of our words remembers Allah?
Wouldn’t it be interesting to collect data on the content and quality of words that we output daily? That would be transformational! But until someone invents an app for that, let’s take a conscious step to be very mindful of our words today!
In the very rich and beautiful hadeeth referenced below, we see that there are MANY forms of charity, and I would like to highlight one of them: saying a good word 👄
Make the intention to speak good to earn the reward of giving charity, and be extra intentional about what you say today
IDEA #1: Go out of your way to say something good and kind to each member of your household 👨👩👧👦
IDEA #2: Select at least 3 friends and send them a text with a compliment or something you appreciate about them 📱 📱 📱
IDEA #3: If you’re out and about, find something good to say to the people you come across, even if it’s as simple as “Have a great day” 🛍 🏬 🛒
The above are all small things we can ALL do- so let’s say Bismillah and give charity through our good words 💪
May Allah make us from those whose words uplift each other, and never from those whose words bring others down. 🤲🤲
I pray you have a fantastic day 😎
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Every joint of a person must perform a charity each day that the sun rises: to judge justly between two people is a charity. To help a man with his mount, lifting him onto it or hoisting up his belongings onto it, is a charity. And the good word is a charity. And every step that you take towards the prayer is a charity, and removing a harmful object from the road is a charity.” [Al-Bukhari] [Muslim]
